SACRAMENTO – The California Educators of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CAL-ED) will celebrate their annual conference in Sacramento this year. The theme for their 54th conference will be “A Call to Action: Quality Education for Deaf & Hard of Hearing Kids!” which will discuss education in the deaf community. The meeting will highlight the role that special interests groups have on DHH children and students.

The group consists of educators, parents, itinerants, early interventionists and administrators. The five groups will attempt to “create new goals” to improve the quality for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Kids. In order to attend you must fill out the registration form available online or on the cal-ed.org website. The meeting will be held at the Doubletree Hotel and will take place from March 28 to March 30.

Members of the CAL – ED will have the opportunity to vote for the president elections, as well as the AREA VII REPRESENTATIVE elections, which include Imperial, Inyo, Riverside, San Bernardino and San Diego Counties. For additional meeting information can be received from Sheri A. Farinha at Sfarinha@norcalcenter.org.
