HOLLYWOOD—I am about to say something I am about to get some serious flack for, but I do not care. The CBS soap “The Bold and the Beautiful” has some of the worst writing when it comes to the remaining soap operas on daytime TV. If you’re not getting the same recycled storylines for years, you’re getting situations that make absolutely NO SENSE AT ALL.
If you’re asking why I say that, explain to me how Bill Spencer, got Luna, who murdered two people, framed her own mother and tried to kill his grandchild’s mother released from prison? Mind you, this woman is actually staying in Bill Spencer’s house and has managed to go undetected up to this point. Luna was totally fascinated with Bill, but that obsession may have spilled over to his son, Will, who is currently dating Electra who was just stalked by a guy, who almost killed her.
I have no clue where this storyline is going and to be frank, I don’t care. It looks like Electra will be in some serious danger soon, and Bill will have a ton of explaining to do to many people when they discover what he has been up to. I am bringing this up because we first thought Bill Spencer was Luna’s dad, then we learned it was Tom Starr, only for this week, a major surprise that isn’t really a surprise, that Luna’s dad is NOT TOM STARR!
Which only proves that speculation that Li’s husband, Jack would be Luna’s father. Not confirmed yet, but who else could it be at this point, and that might explain the chaotic friction between these two sisters. That rumor had been speculated for quite some time that Jack might be Luna’s father when she first arrived in Los Angeles. Tom has been dead for like how long, and y’all are just harvesting his organs now, the timeline makes absolutely no sense at all but continue writing as if the audience are complete idiots.
This brings me to Steffy’s ruse of utilizing her pal Daphne to seduce Carte and steal the company back. That is a wicked move, and Finn knows about it, but once again, the character is simply Steffy’s bag holder. He has no personality and does little to anything of substance. It would be a devastating blow to Steffy, but this makes me think this is the catalyst that brings Liam and Hope back together, but if Steffy does succeed with this move, there has to be repercussions right? It has to be, the question is precisely how the writers plan to do it. I would love to see Steffy get haunted by Ally’s ghost.
Something about Steffy murdering her cousin and feeling very little remorse over it has always annoyed me. The notion of Hope wanting to drive Steffy insane would be so wicked, but it would be the karma that Steffy would not see coming and what if, just what if, Ally just happened to be alive in the flesh, that would be the icing on the cake. Carter being Carter thinks you can take over someone else’s company and there NOT be any blowback. Dude is clueless as he has appointed Steffy to a top position, and now, she’s just sharpening the knife to stab you in the back.
I’m stunned that Zende didn’t spill to Ridge and Eric what Brooke told him as it pertains to her taking over the CEO position of Forrester. That news would indeed halt Ridge and his romantic interludes with Taylor. I’m sorry, but the chemistry is not there between Rebecca Budig and Thorsten Kaye.
It’s not. He had much better chemistry with Krista Allen, but it will never come close to the chemistry between Ronn Moss and Hunter Tylo. Recasts can work sometimes, but Budig just ain’t doing it yet, and she’s had quite a few months already at this point. We know Ridge and Brooke will reunite at some point, viewers will just have to wait and see when that actually happens, and what events lead to that reunion, because it’s destiny as Brooke reiterates time and time again.
