SANTA MONICA—On Saturday, October 22, the city of Santa Monica will kick off celebrations for Dia De Los Muertos. The two-week celebration of the Mexican holiday will be held at the Harvest Festival at the Santa Monica Main Public Library.
The Harvest Festival starts at 12:00 p.m. and concludes at 2:30 p.m. The event, which will celebrate Dia De Los Muertos, will also feature “Fall festivals from many cultures, with stories, crafts, a costume parade, and a performance by Santa Monica Global Motion world dance company.” The event is geared towards children and teenagers.
