WESTWOOD/SANTA MONICA–On May 7 and May 8, the Expo Line began testing for its second phase expansion into West Los Angeles.

The tests involved checking train signals and other electronics to ensure rail service is smooth for the early 2016 opening.

Currently, the western most stop for the Expo Line is Culver City. The second phase expands service with seven additional stops. After Culver City, stops will now include Palm, Westwood/Rancho Park, Exposition/Sepulveda, Exposition/ Bundy, 26th Street/Bergamot, 17th Street/SMC and Downtown Santa Monica. This will bring the line within walking distance of the Santa Monica Pier.

Parking has been provided at the 17th Street, Sepulveda and Bundy stops. In addition, all stations will include bike facilities and lockers.
