HOLLYWOOD HILLS—On Thursday, December 30, a tree fell down on a Hollywood Hills home that also knocked down power lines and caused electricity to be out for hours.

According to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson Cecil Manresa, workers from the Department of Water and Power were called to the incident at 5:51 a.m. Power was restored soon after. The tree came down on the 3225 N. Hillock Drive residence.

No official cause for the fallen tree has been reported, but when interviewed by Canyon News, Manresa said “the rain usually softens the tree roots and gives way for trees to fall down.”

As of press time, no assessment of the damage on the house has been released.
