MALIBU—The Los Angeles Fire Department rescued two people stuck in their vehicle following a crash on Friday, July 19.

According to the LAFD, the incident occurred on S. Malibu Canyon Road near Tunnel 1. at approximately 5 p.m. The vehicle teetered off the cliff following the crash. Video footage from SkyFox showed the car after the crash and firefighters on the scene.

The victims were transported to Pepperdine University in ambulance vehicles and airlifted by helicopters and taken to a hospital.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Malibu Canyon Road was closed in both directions until approximately 6:15 p.m. where all lanes were reopened to the public.
