LOS ANGELES—A fire broke out at Southern California Hospital—formerly known as Brotman Medical Center in Culver City on January 29. The medical facility is located at 3828 Delmas Terrace.

A posting from the Culver City Firefighters Facebook page indicated that smoke on the floors occurred because of a surface fire on the roof that entered the HVAC system.

More than 400 staff and patients were evacuated from the building to the parking lot, near the emergency entrance until around 6:00 p.m.

Culver City Police Department tweeted out about the fire, advising drivers to consider an alternative route to avoid traffic. The Los Angeles Fire Department assisted with the fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
