CYPRESS-On Thursday, May 29, the Orange County Deaf Equal Access Foundation, will be hosting their “Foster Care & Adoption Workshop” from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

 

Joseanna Moseby from the OC D.E.A.F informed Canyon News that the informational session workshop the OCDEAF will host is part of, “The Diligent Recruitment program for Deaf children at Five Acres is part of a federal grant program, the only one within the United States at this time. We focus on recruiting, training and certifying families for Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Children of Deaf Adults which can provide Deaf Language and Culture within the home in order to provide permanency.”

 

The OC D.E.A.F hopes to provide the public with information to learn how to properly provide for a child with “Deaf language and culture.” The OC D.E.A.F is also looking for caring parents to foster and adopt these children in need of a loving home. The event is scheduled to take place at the OC DEAF office at 6022 Cerritos Avenue, Cypress, CA
