SANTA MONICA—The city of Santa Monica will hold family-friendly activities every Saturday during the months of June and July at the Christine Emerson Reed Park located on 1133 7th Street.

“Meet Me At Reed,” Santa Monica’s outdoor cultural and recreational program, invites neighbors and families to come and connect at the park throughout the summer.

Picnic blankets, lawn chairs, food, and pets are welcome. Guests can enjoy family-friendly activities and entertainment by special guests and community partners each week.

Activities such as community garden workshops, pickleball demos, drum festivals and pre-concert activities for all ages and will take place every Saturday at 3 p.m. Food truck vendors will also be available for the public’s convenience and enjoyment.

On Saturday, June 15, the park will host the Paul McDonald Big Band. The quartet is composed of Paul McDonald on piano, Adam Cohen on bass, Steve Pemberton on drums and Eric Morones as tenor/soprano sax.
