SANTA MONICA—On April 2, a $20,000 reward bounty was offered to capture escaped inmate Christopher Lee Brown, 37, who escaped from the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in downtown Los Angeles. He was arrested after an informant from the Pico Youth & Family Center spotted him outside their building.

Brown escaped the facility around 10 p.m. by posing as another inmate, and was caught in the PYFC when surveillance cameras, showed an African-American man, who fit Brown’s description.

The arrest happened without incident, and according to the Sergeant Jay Moroso of the Santa Monica Police Department, the arrest occurred at 9:20 a.m., where Brown was transported back to the facility in which he escaped from.

The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department booked Brown at 1:23 p.m., and he is now facing a charge for escaping and is being held without parole. His previous charges include a felony from stealing computers from a medical center, where he was sentenced to four years and eight months.
