LOS ANGELES—On March 1, the Southern California Association of Deaf-Blind (SCADB) and the Greater Los Angeles Agency on Deafness (GLAD) will be hosting the Blind-Deaf event, “The Wacky World of the Deaf-Blind.” Though SCADB’s webpage is currently down, GLAD’s webpage provided a brief flyer detailing the event as a celebration of Blind-Deaf awareness for those who may be new to the blind and/or deaf community.

The event starts at 12:30 p.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m. at GLAD’s location on 2222 Laverna Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90041. The flier notes that the event will have guest speakers, panelists, updates on resources, as well as light refreshments for those who attend.

For more information on the event, contact Lisa Gonzales at lgonzales@glad.org or SSP Coordinator Marlene Sin at miasintoo@gmail.com. Interpreters will be available at the event.
