BEVERLY HILLS—The City of Beverly Hills will welcome the welcome cyclists throughout the world to the region on Sunday, September 28 for the Gran Fondo Italia. According to a press release from the City of

BH, the event is an Italian-style cycling ride that has a 48 and 90 mile course. Gran Fondo Italia is known for showcasing Italy cycling, Italian food, wine and tourism.

“We are thrilled to host the Gran Fondo Italia!” said Beverly Hills Mayor Lili Bosse. “An event like this is inspirational for our community! We can build on our Healthy City initiative and raise awareness for cycling as a sport, and as a fun way to exercise. It is also a wonderful opportunity for cyclists and cycling fans to experience Beverly Hills.”

The event will start at 7 a.m. departing from Rodeo Drive between S. Santa Monica Boulevard and Dayton Way and run through the course of Los Angeles to the Pacific Coast Highway, tour the Santa Monica
Mountains, visit the Piuma Road hill-climb and end at BH City Hall at around 10:30 a.m. The 400 block of

North Rodeo Drive will be shut-off to traffic from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. for riders.

A celebratory event will transpire after the ride concludes at the Beverly Canon Gardens on 241 Canon Drive. Free parking will be available in the Beverly Canon Gardens parking structure at both entrances.

During the weekend cyclists and guests are welcome to participate in the two-day complimentary expo that will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Beverly Canon Gardens. Food, drink, entertainment and merchandise will be available.
