UNITED STATES—The topic of Robert Mueller’s investigation into possible collusion with Russia involving President Donald Trump was discussed on the FOX series “Hannity.”

On Monday August 6, Sebastian Gorka appeared on the show to speak about the lack of evidence connecting Trump to Russia. Gorka opened by saying, “There is no crime by meeting with a foreign national to obtain opposition research. Especially when it turns out that that individual took that meeting under false pretenses. However, it is a crime to engage somebody at the cost of millions of dollars, who is not a foreign registered agent, but at the same time is a former intelligence officer, that’s Christoper Steele, and to us this Russian propaganda material as the grounds for a surveillance warrant…”

Various outlets including CNN and MSNBC insist that some form of collusion may have taken place between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump.

Gregg Jarrett, author of the Russian Hoax, appeared on Monday’s episode and stated how Donald Trump Jr.’s meeting with a Russian lawyer was not illegal, but Hilary Clintaon paying a Russian for information on Trump was illegal (because of the form of payment made). Jarrett said that there is evidence Christopher Steele was on the payroll of Hilary Clinton, as  well as the FBI.

One excerpt of a New York Times article reads, “It is illegal for a campaign to accept help from a foreign individual or government. The president and his son have maintained that the campaign did not ultimately receive any damaging materials about Mrs. Clinton as a result of the meeting. But some legal experts contend that by simply sitting for the meeting, Donald Trump Jr. broke the law.”

Another excerpt reads, “Depending on how a grand jury interprets the facts the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, has gathered about the two Trump Tower meetings, it could find that the foreigners violated that law — and that Donald Trump Jr. conspired in that offense.”

On Tuesday, August 7, Trump’s attorney Jay Sekulow was on “Hannity” where he discussed the alleged corruption that has been taking place during Mueller’s Trump investigation.

Sekulow indicated that although his legal team would not advise Trump interviews with Mueller, the decision is President Trump’s to make. Sekulow does not advise the meeting because an interview with the two would raise “serious constitutional issues” for the President of the United States.
