Helicopter, K9 Aid In Suspect Arrest

HOLLYWOOD HILLS—A hit-and-run crash in Hollywood Hills left two people injured and law enforcement searching for the driver of the vehicle.

The crash took place near the crossing of Mulholland Drive and Laurel Canyon Boulevard at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 26. Two vehicles collided head-on, the driver of one vehicle fled down an embankment to hide from law enforcement.

Serch crews, helicopters, and a k9 police dog were used to bring the fleeing suspect to justice.

Two people riding in the other vehicle sustained injuries that were serious, but not life-threatening. They were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Law enforcement employed a search helicopter, search and rescue units, and a K9 police dog to locate the suspect, who remained at large until his capture at 11:45 p.m.

Prior to his booking, the suspect, whose identity remains unknown to the public, was transported to the hospital with facial injuries consistent with those sustained in a head-on collision.
