HOLLYWOOD —The month of April is usually the time of year to gear up for another skirmish in the Clutter Wars. The Battle of the Kitchen counter for many means a constant vigilance and a diligent guarding of the borders against the Clutter Troopers that will try to take over that prime location. So many of us try to sweep the counter top every week, showing no mercy. Though there are a few causalities such as important papers that have been discarded as clutter. Just like any other Anti-Clutter Warrior preparing for battle, you must delve first within any weakness that the enemy can exploit. So you begin the journey to uncover the start of the dangerous obsessions of clutter.

The fascination of the Dark Forces of Clutter can be seen on a show titled “Hoarding: Buried Alive” on TLC. The show goes inside the homes of extreme hoarders to explore the psychology behind the compulsion to accumulate and store everything that is nonessential. Each episode deals with stories of individuals who hoard and struggle with behavior that has made everyday existence simply unbearable for themselves and their loved ones. The individuals eventually seek the help of therapists or personal organizers, to eventually pinpoint their obsessions in hopes of leading normal daily lives. The show is simply fascinating, to see how the Dark Forces of Clutter could spiral out of control. The show is also an inspiration, so that a person can no longer be swayed by the temptations of the Dark Forces of Clutter. Watching the show will make you say no to yard sales and clearance aisles. It will make you win the Clutter Wars and say no to more clutter once you created a Clutter Free Zone.  May the Force of Organizational Skills be with you.

Speaking of organizational skills,  when Kate Gosselin wears out her dancing shoes, she’ll return to TLC to star in “Twist of Kate,” a new series about the multitasking single mom helping out and learning from other working moms, reports USA Today. The show “Twist of Kate” will premiere late this summer. A series of “Kate Plus 8” specials will return to TV set to begin airing in June. The Associated Press reports that her ex-husband, Jon Gosselin, sued Kate for custody of their eight children claiming the “Dancing With the Stars” contestant has been neglecting the very offspring that shot her onto the pop-culture landscape in the first place.

Pamela Anderson who is currently competing on “Dancing With the Stars” has failed to pay $493,000 in personal income tax, according to the Associated Press.
