UNITED STATES—President Trump has stated that ISIS bride and former US citizen, Hoda Muthana and her 18-month old baby will be denied re-entry into the United States.

“I have instructed Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and he fully agrees, not to allow Hoda Muthana back into the Country,” tweeted Trump.

On Wednesday, February 20, Pompeo made the following statement on the US Department Secretary of State website.

“Ms. Hoda Muthana is not a U.S. citizen and will not be admitted into the United States. She does not have any legal basis, no valid U.S. passport, no right to a passport, nor any visa to travel to the United States. We continue to strongly advise all U.S. citizens not to travel to Syria.”

According to Al.com, the city councilman of Hoover, Alabama, John Lyda, agreed with Pompeo.

“I’m proud to say she’s not welcome back in Hoover,“ Lyda told AL.com during a phone interview Thursday morning.  “The extreme view Hoda has espoused is not at all representative of the city of Hoover, Alabama or its citizens. It’s uncommon and it’s concerning.”

She went to Syria to join ISIS in November 2014 at the age of 19. She escaped and was captured by Kurdish forces and is currently being held at an al-Hawl refugee camp in northern Syria.

Hassan Sibley, Muthana’s attorney tweeted on February 20 ” the only citizenship Hoda ever had was American. She is not a Yemeni citizen. @realDonaldTrumpjust rendered her stateless. Amazed that she is trying to turn herself in to face legal consequences and Trump is giving her a free pass by making her beyond our jurisdiction.”

According to reports, Muthana has been married three times since arriving in Syria. Her first two husbands died while fighting for ISIS. After the death of her second husband, Muthana tweeted the following message.

“Americans wake up! Men and women altogether. You have much to do while you live under our greatest enemy, enough of your sleeping! Go on drive-bys, and spill all of their blood, or rent a big truck and drive all over them. Veterans, Patriots, Memorial, etc day … Kill them.”

Muthana pleaded for herself and her 18-month old to be allowed back into the United States indicating she was brainwashed and deeply regrets her decision to join ISIS.

Muthana has filed a lawsuit suing President Donald Trump and his administration, Mike Pompeo and Attorney General William Barr are listed in the lawsuit.
