HOLLYWOOD—Ray’s days seem to be numbered to me. It’s only a matter of time before his secret life as a Detroit gigolo comes to light. Or is it? On the last episode of the series “Hung,” Tanya (Jane Adams) landed Ray (Thomas Jane), the “white whale” of clients, but an emergency involving Damon (Charlie Saxton), which began with his debut at a poetry slam, threatened to derail the date. It was so entertaining to watch Tanya try to convince Ray that he was wasting time and needed to leave Damon to her, while he met the new client. In great form, Ray chose family over his moonlighting job.
With Mike (Gregg Henry) at the end of his teaching rope, Ray decided to promote him to co-manager of the baseball team, then landed him a date with a great lady. Mike’s self-image really improved after the hot date.
Jessica (Anne Heche) was extremely peeved with Ronnie (Eddie Jemison) for being overly suspicious of her feelings and what she’s been up to. Jessica’s dream marriage to Ronnie seems to be teetering on life support right now. Her neurotic and eccentric mother is certainly not helping matters. The episode really moved in the right direction and the comedic scenes really work well with Thomas Jane and Gregg Henry. The episode was written by Eileen Myers and directed by Adam Davidson.
