WEST HOLLYWOOD—One of the guitars used by Slash during the early days of Guns n’ Roses will be auctioned off through Julien’s Auctions with a starting bid of $30,000.

The guitar will include a letter of authenticity from Slash, as well as a timeline of the guitars history. The guitar is signed by Slash himself. The musical instrument has been stored for 30 years. The guitar was recently acquired by former guitar technician, Jason Solon, who was involved with the band Guns N’ Roses during their first three albums.

The instrument was used during the production of Guns N’ Roses iconic hits such as “Sweet Child of Mine” and “Welcome to the Jungle,” making it an important piece of rock history. The guitar is custom made and was originally purchased from the Hollywood Music Store in 1984.

Slash originally used the guitar in 1984 with Hollywood Rose, and later when he auditioned for Poison in 1985. The guitar was last used in 1997 and was stored away and has never been publicly displayed since.

The metallic red B.C. Rich Warlock guitar owned by Slash will be auctioned off at 11 a.m. Sunday, November 5, along with other important pieces of music history that include clothes worn by Micheal Jackson and Prince. For more information visit: www.juliensauctions.com
