UNITED STATES— An independent autopsy of George Floyd concluded his May 25th death was caused by compression pressure, as announced on Monday, June 1.

Dr. Michael Baden, a forensic doctor who conducted an independent autopsy on the body of George Floyd, concluded compression pressure on Floyd’s death was the direct cause of his death. However, the Minneapolis medical examiner concluded it was a combination of asphyxia, underlying medical conditions which included hypertension, and possible drugs or alcohol.

Dr. Baden claims the cause of death was in fact the compression pressure Floyd underwent while being held down on the ground with an officer’s knee on the back of his neck, that knee belonging to former Minneapolis officer, Derek Chauvin. Dr. Baden says Floyd was in good health and no medical condition contributed to his death. According to Baden’s findings, Floyd was deprived of his blood flow to the brain, causing the difficulty to breathe, which Floyd said to the officer several times before his death.

Chauvin has been charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter for Floyd’s death. According to the charging docs, the fired cop had his knee on Floyd’s neck for 8 minutes, 46 seconds, including 2 minutes, 53 seconds after Floyd became unresponsive. Baden states Floyd was dead 4 to 5 minutes into the time Chauvin and the other officers had him pinned and with a knee on the back if his neck.

Baden has been involved in the O.J. Simpson case, as well as the Jeffrey Epstein case and many others.
