PHILADELPHIA,\u00a0 PA– After weeks of speculation and rumors abound the NBA, LeBron James is taking his talents to the Philadelphia 76ers. James 41, is signing a two-year, $8 million contract with a player option, Klutch Sports Group CEO Rich Paul told\u00a0 media outlets.<\/p>\n
This move returns James to the Eastern Conference, vastly improving his chances to win a fifth NBA Title. The LeBron sweepstakes has always been a cat and mouse game, one which he clearly loves.<\/p>\n
As i’ve written before, I am a certified Lebronoligist. He dropped an easter egg last week, by mentioning the word process in an interview.<\/p>\n
The word process, mmmmm?<\/p>\n
Trust the process is the mantra of the Philadelphia 76ers. That was a sign that the king would be chowing down Philly chessesteaks, and visiting the Liberty Bell.<\/p>\n
“I was honest at that last press conference when I said I needed to look at myself and deicide if I still love this game,” he wrote.<\/p>\n
After deciding “I still truly love this game, and I have more to give,” James chose the 76ers, committing to a fourth NBA team as he searches for a fifth NBA championship before retirement.<\/p>\n
James will hope to break a 43-year championship drought for the 76ers, much the same way he erased a 52-year streak without a title for the city of Cleveland when he won a championship with the Cavaliers in 2016.<\/p>\n
Just look at the talent on the Philadelphia 76ers. Watch out New York Knicks and the Boston Celtics.<\/p>\n
“I believe I can help make the Philadelphia 76ers a championship team and I am so excited to energize a new fan base and start this incredible journey one last time.”<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, a trio of Sixers players — Tyrese Maxey, Joel Embiid and the newly acquired Jaylen Brown, another surprising addition for Philadelphia this offseason — worked on James.<\/p>\n
The Sixers went 45-37 last season and lost to the eventual champion New York Knicks 4-0 in the second round of the playoffs.
