{"id":42667,"date":"2015-11-04T20:13:43","date_gmt":"2015-11-05T04:13:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.canyon-news.com\/?p=42667"},"modified":"2015-11-08T23:19:26","modified_gmt":"2015-11-09T07:19:26","slug":"two-suspects-arrested-in-shooting-of-joel-ravin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.canyon-news.com\/?p=42667","title":{"rendered":"Two Suspects Arrested In Shooting Of Joel Ravin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>WOODLAND HILLS\u2014On Wednesday, November 4, the LAPD announced that Topanga Area detectives arrested two suspects who were involved in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.canyon-news.com\/brother-of-l-a-dodgers-pitcher-shot-at-home\/40781\" target=\"_blank\">shooting of Joel Ravin<\/a>, the brother of Los Angeles Dodgers Pitcher Josh Ravin.<\/p>\n<p>Ravin, who was shot multiple times on the 22900 block of Vanowen Street in the Woodland Hills area was listed in critical condition from the gunshot wounds to his body.<\/p>\n<p>According to a press release from the Los Angeles Police Department, Topanga Area Homicide detectives along with several specialized units, worked together to identify and locate suspects involved in the case. On October 20, 30-year-old Randall Elmer Stinson of Winnetka was arrested for attempted murder, kidnapping and robbery.<\/p>\n<p>James Baggett, 28, from Panorama City,\u00a0a second suspect in the case, turned himself in to police on November 2 on a warrant that was issued for his arrest.<\/p>\n<p>The severity of the injuries sustained by Ravin prompted Topanga Area Homicide detectives to investigate the case.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone with additional information is urged to call Detective Dave Peteque, Los Angeles Police Department, Topanga Area Homicide Unit, at (818) 756-4869.
