HOLLYWOOD—There was no question that “Avengers: Infinity War” would remain on top at the box-office after breaking records across the board last week. The film which took in over $258 million during its opening weekend, held onto audience’s attention, but dropped more than 50 percent during its second weekend in theaters earning $112.5 million.

Domestically speaking the flick has earned over $450 million, while on a global scale it has attained $1.164 billion. Massive to say the least America. Debuting in second place was the remake “Overboard” this time starring Anna Faris with a respectable $14.8 million in just under 1700 theaters. “A Quiet Place” continues to earn big bucks at the box-office adding another $7.6 million to its tally to land in third place. The film has since earned over $160 million since its release 5 weeks ago.

The comedy “I Feel Pretty” while not a massive hit compared to what audiences have come to expect from Amy Schumer landed in fourth place with $4.9 million. Rounding out the top five was the action-flick “Rampage” with $4.6 million. The Dwayne Johnson starrer has since earned $85 million at the domestic box-office. The dramedy “Tully” starring Charlize Theron landed in seventh place with $3.2 million. That is not bad considering the film is currently playing in only 1300 theaters.

News worth totting, “Black Panther” is less than $7 million from reaching the $700 million mark at the domestic box-office. Prepare to see “Avengers: Infinity War” to remain on top at the box-office this weekend as well. I suspect the superhero flick to be dethroned when “Deadpool 2” arrives on May 18.
