BENEDICT CANYON—Jim Berkus, chairman of the United Talent Agency, has listed his Benedict Canyon property for nearly $5 million.
The 4,290-square-foot house, located on an 8,700-square-foot lot at 1715 Angelo Drive, is “centered around a vast courtyard, accented by classic Spanish tile,” according to the listing. Each of the house’s first-floor rooms open onto the courtyard, which features an eight-sided star-shaped fountain, a fireplace, and a long, narrow pool perfect for laps.
The house itself, a “beautifully-renovated Spanish villa” that “dates back to 1972,” includes a small personal gym, a breakfast nook and an elegant dining room in addition to its 3 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms.
The master bedroom, which encompasses a walk-in closet, master bathroom and covered veranda, is on the second floor. Two staircases, both featuring the original stained glass accents, connect the lower floor to the upper.
The spacious kitchen features an island stovetop and “counters tiled in white porcelain.”
Jeff Kohl of The Agency is the property’s listing agent.
Earlier this year, Berkus and his wife bought a newly renovated mansion in the Flats of Beverly Hills. The property, which they acquired for $11 million, features 7,125 square feet of living space—almost double that of the Benedict Canyon home.
