BEVERLY HILLS—On Friday, June 12, John Stamos also known as Uncle Jesse from “Full House,” was arrested and issued a citation for driving under the influence of alcohol.
At around 7:45 p.m., police responded to multiple 911 calls about a reckless driver in a silver Mercedes near Santa Monica Boulevard in Beverly Hills. When police arrived on the scene, they pulled the suspect off of the road and identified the driver as John Stamos. He was driving alone.
Upon observing Stamos, the responding police officers called upon the help of the fire department to evaluate Stamos’ health and condition. After observing the physical and emotional state of Stamos, firefighters were concerned that his behavior might be the result of a possible medical condition, which resulted in the need for immediate medical care.
He was transported by ambulance and released to the care of a local hospital for further observation. The following investigation found that he was intoxicated under the influence of alcohol, which ultimately led to the DUI citation.
John Stamos in addition to his work on the ABC comedy “Full House” had a starring role on the NBC drama, “ER,” as Dr. Tony Gates. In April 2015, news broke of a reboot reunion series for “Full House” called “Fuller House,” which is set to premiere on Netflix in 2016.
Stamos is set to appear in a LAX Courthouse on September 11, 2015 for trial.
