BEVERLY HILLS—”Full House” actor John Stamos has been formally charged with driving under the influence of narcotics in Beverly Hills.

According to a press release from the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, Stamos was arrested near Canon Drive and Brighton Way on June 12, when citizens in the area reported that Stamos was driving erratically and behaving strangely.

The actor faces one misdemeanor count of driving under the influence of narcotics.

Canyon News spoke to Public Information Officer Ricardo Santiago at the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office to gain specifics as to what drug Stamos was under the influence of at the time of his arrest.

“The specific drug is not mentioned on the complaint and we are unable to comment at this time about which drug was allegedly found in his system,” Santiago informed Canyon News.

Stamos’ arraignment is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on October 16, at the Airport Branch of Los Angeles County Superior Court. If convicted, he faces a maximum possible sentence of 6 months in county jail.

The case still remains under investigation by the Beverly Hills Police Department.

Stamos, who is known for his role in the television sitcom “Full House,” is currently starring in the FOX comedy “Grandfathered” alongside “Drake and Josh” star Josh Peck and Paget Brewster.
