BEVERLY HILLS—On June 8, Joy Mosse won first place in the annual Pie Bake a’ la Beverly Hills and Piesta with her walnut pie. According to a press release from the City ofBeverly Hills, Mosse’s pie competed for first place amongst 17 other entries. The pies were judged on flavor, appearance, creativity, and consistency.

Not only did Mosse’s pie receive first place in the contest, Mosse also received a grand prize of $200. Cathleen Elias received the title of second place and took home $100 for her “Berry Licious Apple Pie,” followed by Shaina Goelman who came in third and received $50 for her “Blueberry Lavender” pie. The award of “Most Pieutiful” went to Christine McConnell, who received $50 for her “Salted Caramel Pecan Apple Pie.”

The annual Pie Bake a’ la Beverly Hills and Piesta was featured at the Farmer’s Market held in Beverly Hills every Sunday on the 9300 Block of Civic center drive between Third and Santa Monica.

According to the Beverly Hills Farmer’s Market calendar, upcoming activities that they will be hosting include live entertainment from Crazy Heart and Story Time at the KidZone from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on June 22.
