MALIBU—The former Malibu home owned by “Wizard of Oz” star Judy Garland former was sold for 3.545 million in June. Cynthia Harrison-Wallach and her husband Lewis Wallach are the new owners of the 1,728 foot estate.

The Cape Cod style home was built in 1947, but was renovated in 2015. It has 3 bedrooms, 1 lofted bedroom, and 2 ½ bathrooms. Some of its amenities include marble countertops, a two-sided transparent fireplace, and a private entry courtyard with access to the beach, Mansion Global reported.

Cynthia Harrison directed and produced the award-winning documentary “Silver Tsunami,” and her husband Lewis Wallach is the president and CEO of a real estate investment firm, Professional Financial Investors. The couple closed the deal on their new summer beach house on June 26.

Garland lived in Malibu during the late 1940s to the early 1950s. She is known for her roles as Dorothy in “The Wizard of Oz” and as Esther Blodgett in “A Star is Born,” where she was nominated for Best Actress.

In 1969, Garland passed away from a sleeping pill overdose, just three months after marrying her fifth husband, Mickey Deans. Her daughter is Liza Minnelli who won the Best Actress Oscar for her role in the musical “Cabaret.”
