LONDON—The Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, 32, wife of Prince William, 32, announced that they are expecting their second child on Monday, September 8.

Middleton and Prince William are the parents of Prince George who was born in July.

She is currently struggling with her current pregnancy, as she did when pregnant with Prince George, battling Hyperemesis Gravidarum, a condition much like morning sickness, but more severe.

A statement was released reading, “Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their second child. The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news. As with her first pregnancy, The Duchess is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum. Her Royal Highness will no longer accompany The Duke of Cambridge on their planned engagement in Oxfordtoday. The Duchess of Cambridge is being treated by doctors at Kensington Palace.”
