PACIFIC PALISADES—An 11,000 square foot Mediterranean-style mansion, which was once called home by Lakers’ shooting guard, Kobe Bryant, is now for sale with an asking price of $12.88 million.

Bryant originally rented the four-story house, located at 1545 Lachman Lane, in 1997. But when he was just 20, the Lakers offered their star guard a six-year, $70.9 million contract extension, during which time Bryant bought the house for $2.5 million in 1999. Bryant is currently the highest paid player in the NBA, with a salary of $23.5 million.

In 2008, the home received a complete makeover, reportedly including $3 million spent towards custom finishes and landscaping. The estate offers luxury amenities including mahogany-coffered ceilings, a private tennis court, and a home theater.
