LA CAÑADA—KODAWest has been excitedly looking forward to their biannual fundraiser, “Seeds for Tomorrow” on Sunday, May 4. The luncheon will be held at the Descanso Gardens in La Cañada. The event will be hosted by Shoshannah Stern, and her husband, Ricky Mitchell. Stern has been highlighted for her talents in films such as “The Hammer,” “Adventures of Power” and has had recurring roles on television programs such as, “ Jericho,” “Lie to Me,” and “Weeds.”
KODAWest has been releasing bits of information about the event on their Facebook page and Twitter page, giving attendees the chance to see what it’s like to see a “CODA and a deaf person on stage.” The event requires that those who wish to attend RSVP by April 25. The cost to attend the event is $100; a link is provided on the event’s page on KODAWest’s website, to pay online through PayPal, but a check can also be sent in to 3727 W. Magnolia Boulevard, #273Burbank, CA 91505.
The “Seeds For Tomorrow” luncheon will start at 11:00 a.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m. The Descanso Gardens are located at 1418 Descanso Drive, La Cañada –Flintridge, CA. The event will have a live auction and the opportunity to walk the gardens. Parking is complimentary.
