LOS ANGELES—The Los Angeles Lakers snapped a two-game losing streak, defeating the Atlanta Hawks 109-94 on Sunday, November 27.

Lou Williams led the Lakers with 21 points while coming off the bench. The former Sixth Man of the Year award winner played two seasons for the Hawks from 2012-2014.

Jordan Clarkson had 18 points, four rebounds and five assists. Nick Young scored 17 points while making four of five 3-pointers. Thomas Robinson recorded nine points and eight rebounds in his first career start for Los Angeles.

Lakers starters D’Angelo Russell (left knee) and Julius Randle (hip pointer) did not play due to injury.

Former Lakers players Kent Bazemore and Dwight Howard led the Hawks offensively; Bazemore scored 21 points while Howard had 19 points and nine rebounds. Atlanta has now lost two straight and five of their last six games.

The Staples Center crowd showered Howard with loud “boos” every time he touched the ball and approached the free-throw line.

Atlanta is now 10-7 on the season and fourth in the Eastern Conference. The Hawks will face the Golden State Warriors in their next match up on Monday, November 28.

The Lakers completed a season sweep of the Hawks, and will not face Atlanta again for the remainder of the regular season. Los Angeles is now 9-9 overall and will begin a four game road trip as they meet the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday, November 29.
