SHERMAN OAKS—A pressure cooker was discovered on Monday, February 18, and was detonated by officials from the Los Angeles Police Department Bomb Squad.

CBS Los Angeles reported, the LAPD responded to the call of the suspicious device on Ventura Boulevard around 10:30 p.m. The pressure cooker was abandoned between Woodman and Hazeltine Avenues. Upon arrival, authorities determined that the device was a pressure cooker.

The LAPD Bomb Squad arrived on the scene and the pressure cooker was detonated during the early morning hours on Tuesday, February 19. According to the LAPD, the device proved to not be a threat. There were no reports of any injuries during the incident. Authorities are searching for the person who left the pressure cooker on the sidewalk.
