HOLLYWOOD—On Thursday, February 26, Jacqueline Montalvo, an LAPD Officer from the Hollywood area, died from a traffic accident. She was off-duty that early evening in the Diamond Bar area.

The Watch Commander for the LAPD Walnut area was not available to comment, but a representative, who wishes to remain anonymous, stated that most of the news about the incident is “hearsay.” During the accident, the officer “lost control of the car, driving into opposing lanes eastbound” and that was when she was “struck by two cars.”

Jacqueline Montalvo is a veteran officer that had served for 11 years. Most of her time was spent patrolling the Hollywood area. She was a very likable person there. “Jacqueline was a hard worker and sought-after partner,” said LAPD Hollywood Area Commanding Officer Captain Beatrice Girmala. “She will be greatly missed.”

Any questions about the incident which took Montalvo’s life, and may have caused injuries to others should be addressed to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, which is responsible for the ongoing investigation.
