LOS FELIZ—A driver who severely injured four people and critically injured one person in a hit-and-run crash in Los Feliz on December 5 is still on the loose. The Los Angeles Police Department is asking for the public’s help to locate the suspect.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, at around 10:30 p.m. on December 5, one car cut off another vehicle at the intersection of Tica Drive and Los Feliz Boulevard. A total of five people, three of them being teenagers, suffered injuries from the crash.

All five victims were transported to a local hospital for medical treatment after the collision. Four people suffered non-life threatening injuries. One of the victim, a teenager, suffered serious head trauma and was listed in critical condition. The LAPD stated the hit-and-run crash may have been the result of road rage incident over driving behavior. Officials are still searching for information that could lead them to the driver.

In a LAPD news release, it was reported that the two cars involved in the crash were a Chrysler PT Cruiser and possibly a Chrysler Sebring. The Sebring cut off the PT Cruiser and stopped in front of the vehicle. The PT Cruiser swerved to the left side in an attempt to not strike the Sebring resulting in the car entering oncoming traffic on Los Feliz Boulevard.

The PT Cruiser collided head-on with an Infiniti G35, the car that held the remaining four victims. The Sebring fled the scene of the accident and did not exit the vehicle to check on the individuals in the other car.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the LAPD Central Traffic Division detectives at (213) 833-3713. A reward of upwards to $50,000 is being offered anyone with information about the crash.
