LOS ANGELES—The Los Angeles Winter Shelter for the homeless updated their transportation as of January 7, 2020 for some of their sites providing temporary shelter for those struggling and living on the street.

The following locations have updated their transportation guidelines:

Steinmetz Park, Hacienda Heights

  • The site now has the option of walking up along with being transported to the site.
  • Starting Monday, January 6, the VOALA El Monte Access Center will be a NEW transportation pick up location at 3:30 p.m.
  • Basset Park now has two transportation pick up times (5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.)

Home At Last: South LA Programs (Women, Men, TAY-transition age youth)

  • Staring Monday, January 13, the LA County Department of Mental Health Peer Resource Center will be a NEW transportation pick up location at 3:30 p.m. for all their Winter Shelter sites.
    • The LA County Department of Mental Health Peer Resource Center is located in Koreatown, one block north of Wilshire Blvd./Vermont Avenue.
