HOLLYWOOD —This week’s leading ladies gold standard goes to two great actresses who transform their characters easily and fans embrace their changes because these two are amazing daytime performers. Ashley Jones, who plays Bridget Forrester Marone on CBS’s “The Bold and the Beautiful,” and Tracey Bregman, who portrays Lauren Fenmore on “The Young and the Restless,” are on a roll. Both actresses defy their own talents as actresses every day and become even better with every twist and turn. Lauren and Bridget are both on a path to a serious revelation and fans want to know what will happen next.

Tracey Bregman has been a solid performer for decades on “Y&R.” The beautiful lady has made Lauren a household name all across the U.S. When Lauren survived yet another attempt on her life, fans knew that she would be stronger but shaken. Lauren has faced a deranged stalker, demonic she-devil Sheila Carter’s over a dozen attempts on Lauren’s life, she’s battled Sheila’s daughter and son and recently faced off with Sheila’s baby sister Sarah.

Fans don’t know how much more Lauren can take. Though this week Maria Arena Bell, the show’s talented and gorgeous head writer and executive producer decided Lauren’s life will never be the same again. Still being haunted by the memories she’s had to endure year after year, Lauren is now at a crossroads. Will the once unstoppable and unflappable Lauren become as crazy as her tormentors? Will her marriage survive? Whatever the answers to these questions are, her portrayer will be blowing away the competition and making all of us want to see more of her superb performance.

Ashley Jones as Bridget has always been an upstanding young lady. Having been raised by the whore of Beverly Hills, Bridget seemed to always want to do the right thing. She, however, shocked viewers and fans when she took a play out of her own mother’s playbook and bedded her mother-in-law’s husband Owen. Now pregnant by Owen, fans know that Nick is going to flip when he finds out what his wife and father-in-law have done behind his back.

This week a melancholy Bridget received her mother-in-law’s forgiveness and she now faces a jealous fish-wife Sandy, who is after Bridget’s husband and the challenge of what will happen to her life and her marriage when her husband Nick finds out about her huge betrayal. Bridget’s life will only become a disaster. She’s always wanted a baby and this time she may actually have the baby and lose her husband in the process. Bradley P. Bell stunned and entertained “B&B” fans with this dilemma Bridget now faces.

Jones and Bregman are not only beautiful and talented, but unforgettable as two of daytime’s most fascinating heroines.

“B&B” and “Y&R” air weekdays on CBS.
