MALIBU—Traffic was blocked for several hours due to a huge boulder that fell onto Malibu Canyon Road on Sunday, March 3. 

There were no reports of any injuries because of the fallen boulder. Officials were able to clear the boulder from Las Virgenes Road by 2:45 p.m.  It was cleared out of traffic near Las Virgenes Road by 2:45 p.m.

The California Highway Patrol tweeted “Umm, yeah…Malibu Canyon Road is closed from Piuma Rd to Francisco Ranch Rd due to this little problem. So if you could find an alternate rout, that’d be great…
