MALIBU—The Malibu Community Pool will be closed from Monday, March 28 till Friday, April 1 as repairs are performed. The pool is slated to re-open on Saturday, April 2 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. According to the city of Malibu website, all regular programming is slated to resume on Monday, April 4.
For the Spring Pool Schedule (March-May) the pool is open during the following days and times:
-Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
-Fridays 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
-Saturday and Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (remains open till 4 p.m. effective March 19).
There is a $3 fee per person to swim. A lap pass can be purchased for $55 which is good for a total of 60 days. Swimming is free for seniors.
Attendees are advised that lanes are not always open during these times. Malibu High School and the city aquatics programming have priority usage. Call the pool at (310) 589-1933 to ensure there are open lanes. Schedules are subject to change due to programming.
The Malibu Seawolves Youth Swim Team –Spring Quarter initiated on February 29 for open enrollment. The city partnered with the Malibu Seawolves Swim Team to offer a youth swim program in Malibu. New participants to the program have to be evaluated by the director to ensure proper placement. The program is aimed to handle beginners up to series competitive levels. The Youth Water Polo League is currently in session and it’s a co-ed program for kids between the ages of 9-14. League play began in mid-February and will continue for nine weeks. The current session ends on April 24. The next session is slated to start in May.
Those looking to schedule spring swim lessons at the Malibu Community Pool can do so by registering in person (only checks and cash are accepted), and the price is $70 per participant.
