MALIBU—Community members are invited to Malibu’s 16th Annual Veterans Day Public Ceremony on Wednesday, November 11, to honor the U.S. Armed Forces who have served and continue to serve our country.

The ceremony which will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1 p.m., will take place at Malibu Legacy Park located at 23500 Civic Center Way.

The event, co-sponsored by the City of Malibu, the Malibu Chamber of Commerce, HRL Labs, and Pepperdine University, will have the mayor and city council in attendance.

According to a press release from the City of Malibu, all Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District Campuses will be closed on Wednesday, November 11. Malibu City Hall and the Senior Center will be closed on the holiday as well.

Malibu High School’s Community pool will be open from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. while Bluffs Park and the Michael Landon Center will be open from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. City parks, including Trancas, Las Flores, and Equestrian Center will be open from 8 a.m. to dusk.
