LOS FELIZ — An arrest was made in connection to a fire in a hillside home on Friday,  November 22.

At 7:04 a.m., the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to call on 4462 Dundee Drive, where an explosion was reported to have occurred shortly before the fire was seen. When firefighters arrived, they found that the home was a tri-level home located on a hillside.

According to spokesman Erick Scott of the LAFD, firefighters saw that the fire was located on the first subterranean level and the street level. It took 49 firefighters to extinguish the blaze in 25 minutes.

During the investigation by LAFD Arson, coupled with an Accelerant Detection K-9 and special agent from the ATF, the Hollywood Division of the LAPD reported that a man who claimed to own the house on Dundee Drive turned himself. It was determined that he was indeed the one that set the fire.

The suspect is Siregan Barsegian, 62, from Hollywood. He was booked for arson and is currently being held at the Inmate Reception Center in Los Angeles on $260,000 bail. He also has an immigration hold placed on him as he currently awaits his December 10 court appearance.
