CALABASAS—A homeless man has been arrested for the second time for attempting to break into the home of actress/singer Selena Gomez. Che Thomas Cruz, 20, was arrested again on April 4 for attempting to break into the actress’ home by jumping over a fence.

The suspect was arrested on March 30 inside a bathroom of the guest house at property that was being purchased by Gomez. He was charged with one misdemeanor count of unauthorized entry of a dwelling house in case 4PY08142 according to Deputy District Attorney Eduards Abele of the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office.

Cruz pleaded no contest during his first court appearance and was sentenced to three years probation and 45 days in county jail. He was informed to stay away from Gomez and her residence and prohibited from possessing any weapons.

On Monday, April 7, Cruz was charged with one felony count of stalking and one misdemeanor count of violation of a criminal protective order. His bail was set at $150,000, if convicted on both counts, Cruz could face up to four years in state prison.
