HOLLYWOOD HILLS—The Los Angeles Police Department are investigating the assault of an unidentified victim in Hollywood Hills that transpired on Thursday, June 14.

KTLA News reported that a man thought to be in his early 20s or 30s attacked the victim at around 2 a.m. near the intersection of Argyle and Franklin Avenue, authorities reported. The suspect approached and struck the victim with an unknown object, and then immediately fled the region.

The victim was treated for injuries and released at the scene. Authorities have not divulged a specific motive for the crime. The LAPD is investigating the case as a hate crime. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact the Los Angeles Police Department.
