MALIBU—A Las Vegas man responsible for crashing into the back of actress/singer Jennifer Lopez’s Rolls Royce, pleaded no contest to a DUI charge while under the influence, in court on March 25. Robert John Reitz, 54, entered the plea to one misdemeanor count of driving with a .08 percent blood alcohol content.

According to a press release from the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office, Reitz was sentenced to three years summary probation and ordered to enter an alcohol rehabilitation program.

He crashed his vehicle into Lopez, her two children and actress Leah Remini on September 27, 2014 on the Pacific Coast Highway. Three hours after the crash, Reitz had a blood alcohol content of .17 percent, the prosecutor noted.

Reitz is also enrolled into a separate alcohol program administered by the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs. No one was seriously injured during the incident.
