SHERMAN OAKS—A man got trapped under lumber during a construction accident that occurred on Thursday, November 21 on the 14000 block of Ventura Blvd. in Sherman Oaks.
The Los Angeles Fire Department reported that on Thursday at 8:42 a.m., a man was trapped under lumber for several minutes while his co-workers attempted to free him by working together. According to LAFD, the entrapment was simply an accident that occurred during a normal work day.
The man’s co-workers began administering CPR after contacting LAFD via a 911 dispatcher over the phone. The LAFD instructed the co-workers and when they arrived on scene, took over and initiated advanced life support. The patient was transported to a local trauma center in grave condition. The name of the victim has not been disclosed to the public.
