HOLLYWOOD—Martha Stewart is joining the Canadian cannabis firm  Canopy Growth to develop and promote make products for humans and pets. The multi-media mogul has diversified herself into the fast-growing cannabis market.

Stewart announced Thursday, February 28 during a press conference, that she will soon launch a variety of foods infused with CBD oils. She noted that she’s focused on pet products that will be released in grocery stores.

“I am delighted to establish this partnership with Canopy Growth and share with them the knowledge I have gained after years of experience in the subject of living,” said Steward in a statement. “I’m especially looking forward to our first collaboration together, which will offer sensible products for people’s beloved pets.”

Founder of Canopy Growth, Bruce Linton told The Associated Press, “She had to be sure we were competent because her reputation is of great value.”

CBD is a oil-based compound extracted from hemp and marijuana which promotes health benefits and may reduce pain. THC is another ingredient optional in cannabis that produces a feeling of euphoria.

In 2016, “Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party” with co-host and rapper Snoop Dogg. Both stars gained a wide demographic attention, where the hosts entertain guests while cooking some of their favorite dishes.

Martha’s partnership with Canopy Growth are in the next stages of development. A release date has not been scheduled to debut CBD pet food products.
