HOLLYWOOD—Prince Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle, signed a deal with Disney, where she will work as a voice-over artist for the company, in exchange for donations to be made to the wildlife charity, Elephants Without Borders.
The couple connected with Disney after appearing at Disney’s European premiere of “The Lion King” in London in July 2019. The premiere was held in honor of the organization’s African Park.
Prince Harry spoke highly of Markle’s voice over talent to Disney CEO Bob Iger. Markle previously starred in the USA TV series “Suits” alongside Patrick J. Adams. The couple were captured in pictures conversing with musicians Beyoncé and Jay Z. The announcement was released in a video by TMZ.
The Royal couple made the announcement on Wednesday, January 8, that they were stepping down as senior delegates of Britain’s Royal Family to seek financial freedom.
The Royal family responded to Harry and Megan’s announcement via their official Twitter page, stating:
“Discussions with The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are at an early stage. We understand their desire to take a different approach, but these are complicated issues that will take time to work through.”
The Duke and Duchess were married in May 2018 and have an 8-month-old son named Archie. The couple was presented with a watercolor still of Winnie-the-Pooh, to celebrate the birth of their son.
