Mirjana Puhar Gunned-Down In Triple Homicide

CHARLOTTE, NC—Mirjana Puhar, a former “America’s a Next Top Model” contestant was killed in a triple homicide in Charlotte, North Carolina on February 24.

Puhar, 19, appeared on the 21st cycle of “America’s Next Top Model,” airing in 2014. She was eliminated by the 10th episode of the season.

Puhar was gunned-down in the home of her boyfriend, Jonathan Cosme Alvarado. Alvarado, 23, and the couple’s friend, Jusmar Gonzaga-Garcia, 21, were also killed in the assault.

According to a TMZ report, after hearing reports of gunfire in the area, a friend of the couple came to the house and found all three victims dead.

Authorities have arrested Emmanuel Jones-Rangel, 19, charging him with three counts of first-degree murder. Charlotte police have reported that the victims knew the suspect and believe the attack to be drug-related.

Rangel has also been charged in connection to another murder taking place in Matthews, North Carolina, on February 22.

Friends of the deceased have taken to Twitter to express their grief and disbelief.
