SANTA MONICA—A teenage girl who went missing on April 22 has been found safe.

Seventeen year-old Laila Kaddoura was found safe by Los Angeles Police Department officers after she went missing during the day on Tuesday, April 22, according to Sergeant Jay Moroso of the Santa Monica Police Department. She was reportedly found near downtown Los Angeles sometime in the evening at an MTA bus station. There was no foul play involved, and the girl was returned to an adult family member.

Kaddoura was reported missing after she was last seen at her home in Santa Monica around 1:00 p.m. She was listed as a “critical missing person” due to her diagnosis of Asperger’s Syndrome compounded by symptoms of anxiety and depression. Before being found, Kaddoura was considered to be a run-away.
