Missing Teenager Found In WeHo

WEST HOLLYWOOD—Reported missing on February 13 , 16-year-old Jin Wuwei was found at a bus stop in West Hollywood at 2 p.m. on Monday, February 16.

Wuwei, a Bejing native, had been touring colleges in the United States with his mother Jipeng Geng, a trip that began in the Bay Area on February 3. That day, they visited Claremont, Wuwei’s last known location before his discovery on the 8400 block of Sunset Boulevard.

Missing
Wuwei did not want to tour the Claremont campus with his mother, separating from her shortly before his Friday disappearance.

Wuwei, who insisted his mother shop while he tour the Claremont campus alone, had last been seen departing his hotel room at 1 p.m. on February 13.

Captured on surveillance footage, Wuwei was pictured walking with a backpack and handbag. He reportedly was carrying an allowance of several hundred dollars, a credit card, and a cell phone.

The family hired a private investigator to search for Wuwei. The search for the missing teen revealed no charges to the credit card and no activity on the apparently shut-off cell phone.

Wuwei is reportedly in good physical health. At this time, no further information is available regarding the circumstances of his disappearance.
