HOLLYWOOD—Well for all you “Mission Impossible” fans we now have a set date for the next installment in the franchise. Mark your calendars for December 25, 2015, as “Mission Impossible: 5” is slated to arrive in theaters. The last installment “Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol” was a thrilling high-octane action extravaganza that shattered box-office records.
Mega-star Tom Cruise is slated to return for the fifth installment, and players from the fourth installment are also rumored to return. The movie will be directed by Christopher McQuarrie, who directed Cruise in the 2012 thriller “Jack Reacher.” The script is being written by Drew Pearce.
The fifth installment could end up facing some stiff competition at the box-office as the seventh chapter in the “Star Wars” saga arrives on December 18, 2015.
